We do not serve a dead Christ, but a living Christ. We know why we're here and we know where we're going.God began writing our story when we met in the mid-90's. Despite a 7 year age gap and very different backgrounds, these two INTJs quickly found common ground in our interests, our sense of humor, and our desire to follow God no matter where He took us.
From Boston to Middle Tennessee, the Appalachians to the plains of Africa, the coastlines of Indonesia, and the frozen tundra of Alaska, God took us a lot of places! After we tied the knot in 2000 (you can read about that chapter of God's story at Carrie's other blog), God led us on an international adventure as we worked with humanitarian aid organizations serving through aviation from 2004 - 2008. We returned home with stories, scars, and a strong desire to make an eternal difference in the lives of the individuals God placed in our path.
Peter still works in the aviation field as an electrical design engineer, and Carrie has been self-employed as an editor and consultant since 2012. When these two control-freaks aren't trying to tell God, "That wasn't what we had in mind, our plan was...," then we're usually experimenting in the kitchen with a new tool or recipe, or discussing the latest Tozer book we've read while drinking our "siphon pot" coffee. We're definitely not into yard work (as a drive past our house can verify), and we only have a treadmill because we like to cook.
In 1996, God introduced this bookworm and mechanic, and we've been attempting to follow the story He's writing for us ever since. To God be the glory, great things HE has done.
