Carrie's Busy Nothings

After we returned to the U.S. in December 2008, I found myself slightly adrift, a little bitter, and looking for a way to kill the hours in my day (by the way, I love this quote from A.W. Tozer about killing time!). The result was my blog, Carrie's Busy Nothings (bonus points if you know what classic novel that title was inspired by - without looking at the image!), and I've now been blogging - off and on - since 2009.

Carrie's Busy Nothings has evolved a bit over the years. When it started, I wasn't sure what I wanted to write about, so I covered everything from photography to home improvement, outfit posts to weekly book reviews "from my nightstand" (which briefly morphed into a secondary blog - What's On My Nightstand - now closed). My posts started changing in 2011 when I got a job working as a pharmacy technician, and God began revealing areas of my life that needed work.

In the years since, the blog has become a mix of fun (I still love to talk about things like Paris, my latest book, and what foods cause me to make a yummy sound) and sharing what God has been teaching me as I strive to be more like Him. These days I find that I go through writing spurts - sometimes writing several times in a month, and then going silent for weeks on end.

And there you have it - my other life. Come on over and see how God has changed me over the years, how my writing style has evolved, and why I am an INTJ who wants more of Him (my favorite post).
