Valentine's Day

This weekend we were reminiscing a bit about where we were 2 years ago (Paris) while we cleaned out a guest bedroom, purchased a comforter and sheets for a soon-to-be-5 year old boy, and organized a closet for 4 little girls between the ages of 3 and 11. My, how life has changed. :)

Last week we sent our official "Letter of Intent" to the adoption agency, re-did our fingerprint scans for the umpteenth time, and worked on figuring out what paperwork has to be redone in order to have everything in order for our home study revision (yep, the one that took us 19 months to complete has to be opened up again to take these kids). God still has a sense of humor, and at this point we're thankful that He gave each of us one too. We're taking it a day at a time, praying for the kids, praying about the process, and giving thanks for those who continue to come alongside of us in this journey.

Over the weekend we received two offline donations and an offer to present our adoption story to a local church mission board; more confirmation that God's still writing our story. We are blessed, humbled, and thankful.

REMINDER: If you need any editing work (emails, newsletters, blog posts, websites, etc.), or know of someone who does, feel free to contact me (Carrie) through my website: cgkoens.com. Everything I make is going into our adoption fund, so every little bit helps and I'm thankful to be able to contribute by using the skills God has given me.
